ÖBB Railjet coach. That one was westbound towards Munich.
Waiting for our eastbound train towards Budapest.
Hopped on the train at 9 AM. The ride was 6 hours long, but with free wifi onboard, it wasn’t too bad. Arrived at Budapest at nearly 3 PM, which was almost dusk as it was wintertime. Changed some Euro into Forint (Hungarian currency) and headed to our hotel to check-in. Freshened up and off we went to explore Budapest.

Chain Bridge to the left of the parliament building.
To the right was Margaret Bridge.
Across the blue Danube (according to Strauss, at least) up on Castle Hill, the tower of Matthias Church stood tall.
While we were busy taking pics around the parliament building, it started to rain.
So we quickly packed our cameras and headed to the city area to get some food to eat. Then we returned to the hotel and called it a night. Budapest exploration shall continue tomorrow!
