morning swim and maldivian breakfast
What else to do when you have a beautiful beach at your doorstep?
Swim, swim and swim!
Eila stayed out of the water and went for a jog instead.
Relaxing under a coconut tree after a good dip.
Bigger than a cat.
Showered and went to the coffee house for breakfast. FYI the night before, we chatted with our favorite waiter about how we longed to try authentic Maldivian breakfast. “Don’t worry, I’ll arrange something for you tomorrow,” he said. Guess what was in store for us when we reached there?
Chapatti with 4 different condiments! Potato in coconut gravy, fish curry, red bean and tuna sambal. Yes, they call it sambal too, but not as spicy as ours.
Eila at a jewelry store next to the coffee house...
...where she checked out some precious stones.
After meal time, came chill time.
Sailboats at the resort’s sailing school.
More pretty beach...
Even more pretty beach...
Just couldn’t get enough of it!
Oh by the way, I hadn’t introduced you to our neighbor, had I? She stayed with her family next door. I often saw her playing around when I went for a swim or relaxed by the beach.
Such a cute little thing she was!
But don’t be fooled by the angelic look. Just moments from the shoot, I saw her filling sand into her little toy pail and sneaked behind her mum (the lady on the beach chair). Guess what she did next? She poured the sand onto mummy’s head! Hahaha!
