Everybody knows how jam packed the Federal Highway is in the morning. For those from KL heading to PJ, the stretch between Naza and Avon heading towards the cable bridge is the most dreadful. Cars changing lanes. Cars entering/exiting Jalan 222 or the cable bridge or NPE. Cars slowing down to see debris from an accident the night before or several nights before or even several weeks before.
As I was driving to work, following the slo-mo traffic flow, the car in front of me suddenly switched on its emergency lights. I thought it was about to stall. But it didn’t stop immediately. It moved for another 10 meters before finally coming into standstill.
A stalled car on Federal Highway. In the right lane. During rush hour traffic.
Every KLian’s nightmare just came to life.
The driver’s door opened. An Indian guy in his 50s stepped out. He walked to the front of his car.
I glanced to my left, looking for a chance to switch lanes.
Suddenly I saw the driver walking back to his car. In his hands was a dog. A big brown dog. He opened the rear door and put the dog inside.
His car didn’t break down.
He stopped his car to pick up the dog.
One God’s creature was saved from being hit on Federal Highway.
Thank you uncle in black Perdana.
You saved a life.
