My raya mood has been scratched (pun intended).
As I entered my car to go to work this morning, I noticed something different on the rear side, near the fuel tank.
OMG! It’s scratched!
How did this happen? I’m pretty sure.. wait.. I’m VERY sure it wasn’t there yesterday morning when I transferred stuffs into the car to bring home for raya. I loaded them through the back doors, so if the scratch was there I would have definitely noticed it.
From that point onwards, I don’t remember grazing any car, or van, or lorry, or any type of vehicle for that matter. Definitely no tiang letrik or anybody’s pasu bunga.
And for the scratch to have that kind of impact (cat terkopek sampai nampak body kit tu.. huwaa..) if it happened while I was driving I must have felt something. I did scratch my previous car and the mark was not even half as bad (virtually disappeared after a few rounds of polish) yet I did feel the impact when it happened. So for a scratch this bad, if I was driving at the time of incident I would have definitely noticed it.
So my conclusion is somebody grazed my car while it was static, most probably at the office parking lot as that was the only place the car was parked yesterday other than at home. And I’m sure it didn’t happen at home.
Speaking of the parking lots at my office.. gosh I tell you.. they must have the narrowest parking boxes in the country. If you drive a bulky car there’s a good chance you have to inhale a deep breath and turn sideways before you can get out of the car. And that’s if you can open the door wide enough in the first place. So I guess if I’m in the mood of blaming someone I would have not only blamed the driver of the other car. Why not go all the way and blame the architect who designed the parking layout, the contractor who built it, the guy who painted the parking boxes, the department in charge of doing the maintenance, the sun, the moon and everything in between.
But wait a minute, what’s the point of that? Just serves to make me even more upset. Let’s move on and focus on better things in life, like.. lemme think.. Hari Raya!
Still, I’m a little nervous of what my dad’s response gonna be when he sees this. He just invested quite a fair bit to touch-up the car a couple of months back. And now this! Haih!
Dugaan hari terakhir Ramadhan tahun ini. Hmmph.
By the way, my office will be closed at 12 noon today. A few more hours to go before balik kampung! Woohoo!
