halal feature: Dubai Restaurant @ Seoul, South Korea

Don’t get confused, this place is merely named Dubai Restaurant but it’s actually in South Korea. It was the first halal restaurant that we saw in Itaewon. Since we were really hungry, we just went inside without giving it much thought.

The restaurant is located on the main road, near a junction that leads to many other halal restaurants. It’s on the second floor, right on the top of Dunkin Donuts. The signage is so huge, you won’t miss it.

Welcome to Dubai Restaurant!

Inside the restaurant.

Falafel for starter.

And a piece of bread.

Now the main course. Pjot had beryani.

That’s my chicken gravy.

And my colorful rice.

Staircase towards the restaurant. We got a bit excited seeing the poster because at that time we were finalizing the details of our Dubai trip ;-)

That’s the restaurant from the outside. If you can find Dunkin Donuts, you’ll surely find it!

Here’s the place on Google map:

If the map appears all grey, click on the buttons labeled “Map” on the top right corner or the “+” or “-” on the top left until you can see it. I have no idea why it happens, but that’s the only solution I know. Funnily, it only happens when I extract maps of places in Seoul, not anywhere else.

Getting there is really easy. Take the subway line number 6 to Itaewon station. Once you reach there, get out of the station through exit number 3. Walk straight ahead until you see the restaurant on your right on the top of Dunkin Donuts. There’s also a kebab joint at the corner downstairs if you feel like having that. Didn’t try it though, both of us had kebab overdose from our previous trips!
