day 1: first work, then pekan rabu

Note: Many pics ahead. Tuan rumah dah malas menaip coz beberapa hari ni dok menaip jek kerjanya. So hari ni layan karangan bergambar yer!

Wah penatnya buat asset verification! From the moment we arrived at the airport, we walked non-stop in and around the place checking company's asset. Kalau yg dlm building like furnitures and computer equipment tu senang la. Kena yg kat luar like luggage trucks, tow bar n all the engineering equipment, mmg letih laa berjalan tgh panas kat atas tarmac nak check benda alah tu satu persatu. Fortunately alor setar airport is small hence x byk asset, so we wrapped up pretty early. Terus gi check in kat holiday villa, masuk je bilik kak rosmah terus flat. After solat n resting for a bit, we went to the infamous pekan rabu.

Our hotel room at holiday villa. agak terkejut coz though i already knew that we had to share a room, i didn't expect us to share a bed too. Tapi nak buat camne kan company dah bagi so jangan banyak songeh.

The view of alor setar town from our hotel window, such an outdated town macam pekan jasin dekat my kampung jek.

First kena makan. We had our late lunch at restoran bamboo. Ini namanya pulut sambal - my appetizer.

Pulut sambal is basically pulut and serunding. They serve it with a spoon dipped in warm water, agaknya supaya pulut tak lekat kat sudu bila makan kot.

My main course - nasi goreng paloma. Sambal belacan dia sangat kick! Daging tu lebih kurang macam paprik cuma less pedas and banyak serai.

Then jalan2 dlm pekan rabu. This is the pekan rabu building.

Bought kerepek and traditional delicacies to bring home.

Agak kagum tengok beg ni siap dengan label sekali sesuai untuk orang tua2 pegi haji.

Inside of pekan rabu. Macam pasar siti khadijah kat kb or pasar payang kat kt, but a lot cleaner.

Lama tak tengok beca that is actually used as public transport. Dekat melaka beca semua dah decorate cantik2 just tourist je yang naik.

Gambar sultan and sultanah kedah across the road from holiday villa. Banyak banners macam ni all across town. According to my friend the banners are there all year long, every year they just update it to reflect the number of years the sultan has been reigning.
